It's quickly coming up!

The show is a BFA honors thesis exhibition titled Fragments that deals with the abstraction and perception of memory in our increasingly digitized and isolating society where we become detached from the tangible and consequently nostalgic for the real. The show examines the dynamic nature of memory and how it is tied to physical objects, recognizing that memories stimulate a desire to collect things that we attach meaning to and form relationships with. The works portray a sense of place derived through memory, collected objects, and site specific materials in abstract mixed media painting, collage, and assemblage.
